Shipping information for Crocus sativus (saffron) bulbs. Within the EU, shipping costs can be calculated in the shopping cart before completing your purchase. Pallet freight generally applies from ~100 kg. Outside the EU, delivery is handled by quotation due to mandatory export documentation.
Fast, transparent shipping from the Netherlands
Shipping costs within the European Union are calculated automatically based on destination country, postal code and total order weight. You can calculate the exact shipping costs directly in your shopping cart before completing your purchase. For export outside the EU, we prepare a tailored quotation because documents and import requirements vary per country.
Shipping within the European Union
All EU orders are shipped from the Netherlands. Shipping costs are automatically calculated in your shopping cart based on your delivery country, postal code and the total weight of your order. This allows you to see the exact shipping costs before completing your purchase.
We ship parcels with DPD or UPS as standard. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Track & Trace code by email.
Pallet & freight shipments
Orders exceeding approximately 100 kg are shipped via pallet transport. Freight costs depend on destination and total shipment weight.
- Pallet deliveries can be made to private and business addresses.
- Depending on destination and carrier, delivery may require scheduling in advance.
Order processing & seasonal availability
Crocus sativus bulbs can be ordered year-round via our webshop. Shipping takes place after the annual harvest period, which starts at the end of July. Orders are processed in the order they are received.
During the main shipping season (typically August and September), orders are usually processed within one business day.
Delivery outside the European Union (export)
Shipments outside the EU are handled exclusively upon request. Exporting saffron bulbs requires official documentation and compliance with plant health and import regulations.

Pick-up orders (Netherlands)
You may also choose to collect your order at our location in the Netherlands. We will notify you once your order is ready for collection, and an appointment can be scheduled.
Returns & right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt, in accordance with EU consumer protection regulations.
Unlike many agricultural products, our Crocus sativus bulbs may be returned within this 14-day period. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Refunds will be processed after inspection of the returned goods. Business (B2B) purchases are excluded from consumer withdrawal rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.
