These Consumer Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made by consumers through Sativus.com (Bloembollenbedrijf J.C. Koot, The Netherlands). For wholesale and export (B2B), separate terms apply.

By placing an order via our webshop, you explicitly accept these Terms & Conditions. They are made available before checkout and can be saved. Crocus sativus bulbs are a natural, seasonal product; delivery timing depends on harvest and the suitable planting season.

Article 2 – Applicability
- 2.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements concluded via the webshop www.sativus.com.
- 2.2 These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to customers acting as consumers. For business-to-business (B2B) transactions, separate General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply.
- 2.3 By placing an order through the webshop, the customer explicitly accepts these Terms and Conditions.
- 2.4 These Terms and Conditions are made available to the customer before the conclusion of the agreement and can be downloaded and stored by the customer.
Article 3 – The Agreement
- 3.1 An agreement is concluded when the seller confirms the order by email.
- 3.2 The seller reserves the right to refuse an order or attach additional conditions to the delivery.
- 3.3 Obvious errors or mistakes in product descriptions, prices, or other information are not binding.
Article 4 – Prices
- 4.1 All prices displayed on the website are in Euros (EUR) and include VAT.
- 4.2 Shipping costs are stated separately during the checkout process.
- 4.3 The seller reserves the right to adjust prices before the agreement is concluded.
Article 5 – Payment
- 5.1 Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.
- 5.2 The order will be processed after successful payment authorization.
Article 6 – Delivery
- 6.1 Delivery of flower bulbs is seasonal and aligned with the natural planting season.
- 6.2 Orders placed outside the shipping season will be delivered during the next suitable shipping period for the customer’s region.
- 6.3 During the shipping season, orders are typically dispatched within several working days.
- 6.4 Delivery times are indicative and not binding.
- 6.5 In case of force majeure (including but not limited to crop failure, natural disasters, or transport disruptions), the seller may suspend or cancel the agreement without liability.
Article 7 – Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
- 7.1 Consumers have the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving any reason.
- 7.2 To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must notify the seller in writing via email at info@sativus.com.
- 7.3 The products must be returned unused, undamaged, and in the original packaging.
- 7.4 Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
- 7.5 The seller will refund payments within 14 days after receiving the returned goods.
- 7.6 The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that are perishable or nature-based products with limited shelf life if their condition has deteriorated due to improper storage after delivery.
Article 8 – Nature of the Product
- 8.1 Flower bulbs are natural products. Variations in size, shape, and appearance may occur.
- 8.2 The seller does not guarantee specific flowering results. Successful cultivation depends on climate, soil conditions, and proper care by the customer.
Article 9 – Complaints
- 9.1 Visible defects must be reported within 7 days after delivery.
- 9.2 Complaints must include clear photos and a description of the issue.
- 9.3 If a complaint is justified, the seller may, at its discretion, replace the product or refund (part of) the purchase price.

Article 10 – Liability
- 10.1 The seller’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the product concerned.
- 10.2 The seller is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, or loss of profit.
Article 11 – Retention of Title
Ownership of the products transfers to the customer only after full payment has been received.
Article 12 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- 12.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
- 12.2 Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
- 12.3 If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
